Welcome to Kingfisher Hall Primary Academy’s website!
We were delighted to be graded as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted during their inspection in the summer of 2014. We believe that this outcome is a reflection of how well our school succeeds. The Ofsted report is available to see here.
Kingfisher Hall was opened in September 2012 under the coalition Government’s free school initiative by Cuckoo Hall Academies Trust (CHAT). Currently, the school is two-form entry with Nursery, Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3. The school will grow year on year and reach capacity in September 2018. We are fortunate to have a marvellous, purpose-built new-build school which fosters an excellent teaching and learning environment.
CHAT successfully runs and manages five academies, all in the Enfield area: four primary academies (Cuckoo Hall, Woodpecker Hall, Kingfisher Hall and Enfield Heights), and one secondary academy (Heron Hall), which means we can now offer “all-through” education from Nursery intake right up to A Level students under the CHAT umbrella. You can read more about the CHAT family of academies by clicking on this link here.

Once again, the staff at Kingfisher Hall have been delighted with our end of Early Years, Phonics Screening and end of Key Stage 1 SATs outcomes. Our children, again, exceeded the previous year’s national averages in each category with many exceeding national expectations. This demonstrates our continued commitment and dedication to our children achieving their very best.
Our excellent outcomes are thanks to a simple model where small, matched-level learning groups, regular and consistent assessment overseen by rigorous monitoring by the Senior Leadership team are at the heart of our school. This ensures all of our children have access to an age / skill appropriate curriculum, differentiated to their needs.
I feel very lucky to be returning to Kingfisher Hall as Headteacher as I was part of the original team that opened and lead the school to its ‘outstanding’ Ofsted inspection. I am thrilled to be reconnecting with families whom I have known for a number of years and to get to know those of you who have joined since my year away. I am very ably supported by a fantastic group of teachers and support staff. The staff, parents and children operate as a family here and I feel very fortunate to lead a school with such a wide and motivated school community.
I hope that you find our website informative. I would encourage all prospective parents to make an appointment to tour our wonderful school meeting some of our children and staff along the way. I look forward to meeting you soon!
Together we succeed!
